About the role

This is an Extended Assignment Travel RN position in the Emergency Department, working night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). The role involves providing high-quality, safe patient care within an interdisciplinary team, following evidence-based practices and the organization’s standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate patient care and practice patient-centered care principles.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork among healthcare providers.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
  • Engage in research and evidence-based practice to enhance care delivery.
  • Uphold organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of care protocols.
  • Manage resources efficiently and support a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Valid certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS.
  • Active RN licensure (single or multi-state).

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include experience in travel nursing and previous work in an emergency department.
