About the role
This is an Extended Assignment Travel RN position in the Emergency Department, working night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). The role involves providing high-quality, safe patient care within an interdisciplinary team, following evidence-based practices and the organization’s standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate patient care and practice patient-centered care principles.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork among healthcare providers.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Engage in research and evidence-based practice to enhance care delivery.
- Uphold organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of care protocols.
- Manage resources efficiently and support a respectful, inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Valid certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS.
- Active RN licensure (single or multi-state).
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in travel nursing and previous work in an emergency department.
