Emergency Department Registrar

About the role

Responsible for registration functions in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department providing 24/7 service.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient registration
• Verify insurance and collect copays
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission regulations
• Conduct thorough patient interviews under stressful conditions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years registration experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, Emergency Department, or high-volume outpatient setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical insurance, authorization/referral processes, and medical terminology preferred
• Proficiency in Flowcast, registration, visit management, and EPIC ED applications is a plus
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Completion of Cooper IDX training covering registration, visit management, eligibility, and FSC selection

Pay
