About the role
The Assistant Manager, Patient Access will oversee all Patient Access operations within the assigned area. They will collaborate with team members, clinical staff, and senior management to ensure accurate and efficient registration/financial clearance services.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members, clinical staff, and senior management to promote accurate and efficient registration/financial clearance services.
- Develop, coordinate, and administer comprehensive training modules specific to all elements of Patient Access services, including orienting all new hires.
- Provide training to address deficiencies defined through the quality improvement process.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all Patient Access systems assigned.
- Support efforts to motivate staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and meet departmental goals for patient satisfaction and financial performance.
- Be assigned reports, tasks, and job duties as needed to support the department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Patient Access or medical office preferred.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
- Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to develop trust with leaders in the organizations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
- Able to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, First Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
