Emergency Department Assistant Nurse Manager

Role Overview This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and overseeing departmental operations. The role includes hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development of staff. Responsibilities also encompass developing staffing plans, budgets, and ensuring departmental productivity aligns with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Manage staff performance, conduct evaluations, and implement corrective actions.Develop and monitor staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, adjusting for business changes.Ensure delivery of patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, documenting according to policy.Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and diagnoses.Oversee staff scheduling, payroll updates, and communication, including staff recruitment and disciplinary actions. Qualifications & Skills Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN license.Experience: 2-5 years, with preferred Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years of experience.Leadership experience is advantageous, with supervision experience preferred.
