Emergency Department Nurse Supervisor

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and ensuring departmental goals are met.
• Provide patient care aligned with assessment and treatment plans, documenting accordingly.
• Develop collaborative care plans based on patient needs and medical diagnoses.
• Manage staffing schedules, payroll, and communication efforts, including performance and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure staff productivity and departmental operational success as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license with a nursing diploma or associate's degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; less than 2 years supervisory experience.
• Preferred: 5-10 years of experience, with some supervisory background.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills essential.
