Emergency Department Nurse Residency - Mercy South

About the Role

Provide patient care in a 63-bed Level II Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Emergency Department with a RN-patient ratio of 3-4. Participate in a comprehensive 16-week nurse residency program and collaborate closely with ED physicians as the department expands to increase capacity and improve patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective care delivery.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Uphold organizational standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and endure prolonged standing and walking.
• BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
