About the role
The Nurse Extern is an unlicensed role supporting licensed staff in delivering patient care. Under supervision, responsibilities include performing basic to intermediate nursing tasks such as vital signs, patient hygiene, medication administration, dressing changes, specimen collection, and equipment management. They assist in managing patient needs, react appropriately to emergencies, and support the care team by coordinating activities and ensuring safety. This role offers opportunities to contribute meaningfully to patient care while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs

Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current enrollment in an ADN or BSN program
- Current BLS certification (and all relevant certifications) mandatory upon hire
Qualifications
- Less than one year of experience
- Completed Nursing Fundamentals course
