About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients' health responses. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate multi-system assessments, monitor deviations, and reassess throughout hospitalization.
  • Develop individualized, developmentally sensitive care and discharge plans, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Initiate and document protocols-based medical and surgical care, administer medications, and perform procedures correctly, including emergency measures.
  • Evaluate patient responses, care effectiveness, and participate in quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of nine months RN experience, with at least one year in emergency settings or completion of a related internship.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN license (Oregon), with required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS or equivalent within specified timeframes.
  • Computer skills; additional certifications like TNCC or CEN preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and work within professional standards.
