About the Role
Provides clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients, collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, ensuring coordination across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive multi-system evaluations, monitors patient status, and performs discharge assessments.
- Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge activities, and delegates tasks appropriately.
- Initiates protocols, administers medications accurately, performs procedures correctly, and documents care properly, including emergency measures.
- Reviews assessment methods, monitors patient responses, and participates in quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum nine months RN experience with current ED experience or completion of a specialized internship.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric emergency courses.
- Computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare experience beyond the minimum requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
- Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation and communication.
