Emergency Department RN (36Hr, Nights)

About the Role

Provides clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients, collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, ensuring coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive multi-system evaluations, monitors patient status, and performs discharge assessments.
• Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge activities, and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Initiates protocols, administers medications accurately, performs procedures correctly, and documents care properly, including emergency measures.
• Reviews assessment methods, monitors patient responses, and participates in quality assurance.

Requirements

• Minimum nine months RN experience with current ED experience or completion of a specialized internship.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric emergency courses.
• Computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience beyond the minimum requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
• Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation and communication.
