Emergency Coordinator / Safety Officer

About the role

The Emergency Coordinator / Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining emergency response plans, conducting regular safety inspections, and providing guidance on workplace safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans
• Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Train employees on safety procedures and emergency protocols
• Coordinate with external agencies during emergencies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
• Document incidents and near-misses for analysis and improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Emergency Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with incident management systems
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
