EmERge - Emergency Veterinarian Mentorship Training Program

About the role

The BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital offers an Emergency Veterinarian training program called EmERge. This program is designed to help veterinary school graduates gain the necessary skills and confidence to become successful Emergency Veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Gain foundational emergency medicine skills through a combination of virtual and in-person training.
• Observe and learn from experienced emergency clinicians during ER shifts.
• Manage increasingly complex cases with greater independence under mentorship.
• Apply advanced diagnostic and procedural skills to handle high-acuity cases.
• Participate in weekly didactic webinars to stay updated on the latest practices in emergency veterinary medicine.

Requirements

• A graduate of an accredited veterinary school.
• An individual with a sincere interest in becoming an Emergency Veterinarian.
• A current Veterinarian looking for a career change.

• Eager to think on your feet and handle challenging cases.
• Looking forward to learning and leading by example in the emergency veterinary industry.

Pay

• Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14): $4615.38 bi-weekly (equivalent to $120,000 annually).
• Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32): $4615.38 bi-weekly (equivalent to $120,000 annually).
• Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52): Full salary plus production where applicable.

Schedule

• Total commitment is two years, including the initial year of training.
