EMC Compliance Technician

About the role

EMC Compliance Technician position at Google in Mountain View, CA (full‑time). The role supports the EMC test environment, defines and executes test plans for consumer electronics products, manages lab equipment calibration, and ensures reliable test data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support EMC test environment and testing efforts under international EMC standards (EN 55032, EN 55035, FCC Part 15 Subpart B, VCCI‑CISPR 32, etc.) for consumer electronics products such as smartphones, smart home devices, and wearables.
• Define EMC test plans for various product types and execute those test plans.
• Perform and manage necessary lab equipment and test equipment calibration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in soldering and desoldering SMD and through‑hole components on high‑complexity boards.
• Complete testing with reliable test data and generate test reports per test plan and defined schedule.
• Close bugs filed in Buganizer.
• Finalize test reports and verify test summaries from external partners.
