Embryology
About the role
The Embryology thread focuses on the structural and molecular events from conception to the formation of the body plan approximately two months post-conception. It includes discussions on how mutations affecting development can influence health outcomes later in life, as well as the development of specific organs and their roles in organ function.
Responsibilities
- Lectures and lab discussions on embryonic development
- Participation in case studies related to developmental biology
- Assessment of students' understanding through quizzes and exams
- Collaboration with other faculty members to develop educational materials
Requirements
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as cell biology, genetics, or biochemistry. Previous teaching experience in medical education is preferred.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills and the ability to teach complex biological concepts effectively are essential. Proficiency in English is required.
