Responsibilities
- Identify and move oocytes in follicular fluid using a dissecting microscope.
- Load embryos into a catheter, assisting the physician with handling and positioning as needed.
- Conduct daily assessments of patient embryos using an inverted microscope.
- Use medical-grade laser technology to perform zona ablation on oocytes and embryos.
- Execute freezing and thawing processes for surplus oocytes and embryos.
- Label and prepare culture dishes with sterile technique for next-day procedures.
- Stock supplies, perform quality control tests, maintain lab equipment, and monitor liquid nitrogen storage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with Technical Supervisor (ABB) certification, Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, or a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Schedule
2-4 days per week from 7:00 am-3:00 pm with weekend rotation and holidays.
Per Diem Rate
$1000-$1200/day (depending on experience)
