Embroidery Machine Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read, understand and follow work orders.
• Observe the machine during operation, ensuring designs are embroidered correctly and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Save the digitized files & routinely back up the computer(s).
• Keep embroidery production supply inventory organized.
• Examine work for quality and report any defects.
• Maintain the machine: This includes tasks like threading, oiling, cleaning, and performing basic maintenance to keep the machine running smoothly.
• Work with Graphic Arts department in reviewing material swatches and to test digitized logos.
• Cross train on various manufacturing operations to allow flexibility within lines.
• Attend production meetings as required.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals and customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Read and understand English and be familiar with industry, norms, standards, applications, language, and terminology.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of different fabrics and thread types are crucial for producing high-quality embroidery.
• Experience with Melco Embroidery Equipment.
• Experience with Design Shop 10 embroidery software.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Ability to measure.
• Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate with co-workers.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate under pressure and time constraints.
• Be comfortable on your feet for the duration of your shift.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
