Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1069

Schedule

Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–1:00 am. The shift incentive includes a 10%–15% premium, paid lunch, and 3-day weekends. Formal airframe training is provided, and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift is available after 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Replace and repair aircraft parts and components
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform inspections on sophisticated civilian aircraft
• Remove and install panels, components, and engines
• De-fuel aircraft
• Operate ground support equipment
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
• Assist in aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Navigate electronic training manuals and maintenance databases using basic computer skills
• Communicate effectively in English (speak, write, read)
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport (ideal but not mandatory)

Qualifications

• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 0–2 years aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar experience. Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance; requires close supervision.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 2–4 years aviation maintenance experience; corporate aircraft experience preferred. Considerable knowledge of general maintenance; requires general supervision on routine tasks and detailed instruction for new or special assignments.
• AMT III: Airframe license required; Powerplant license highly preferred. 4–6+ years aviation maintenance experience; corporate aircraft experience highly preferred. Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license required. 6+ years aviation maintenance experience; extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms; subject-matter expert across all areas of the job.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
• Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas
• Stand for long periods of time

• Understand and implement regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation
• Work with others in a professional manner

Supervision

• Work under the supervision of an assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance
• May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity

Working Conditions

• Hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations
• Work outside during aircraft runs will occur
• Varied positions in and around the aircraft

Equipment Used

• Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
• Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices
• Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment
