About the role

Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same. Each day will bring new experiences and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Removal and installation of panels and components
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues
• De-fueling aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operating ground support equipment
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
• Airframe or Powerplant license (specific requirements vary by level)
• Reliable transportation to get to work each day
• Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints in a fast-paced environment
• Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits

Qualifications

• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required (Airframe preferred). 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar. These technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects and require close supervision.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required (Airframe preferred). 2-4 years of experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential. These technicians have considerable knowledge of the job and require general supervision on routine tasks.
• AMT III: Airframe license is required; Powerplant license is highly preferred. 4-6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred. These technicians have full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance. Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.

• Proficiency in using personal hand tools and specialized equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, jacks, stands, lifts, tugs, power carts)

Physical Requirements

• Lifts up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations (very cold to very hot)
• Work outside during aircraft runs will occur
• Varied positions in and around the aircraft

Supervision

Work under the supervision of an assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance. May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
