About the role

The Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team in Hazelwood, MO develops innovative simulation software solutions that support training systems for government aircraft platforms, advancing pilot readiness and mission success. This entry-level position involves designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining embedded software that interfaces with specialized hardware while adhering to strict industry, safety, customer, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design, development, test, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software integrated into devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Gather, review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into software designs for embedded systems.
  • Build and write code for embedded software to run on specialized hardware.
  • Participate in integrating embedded software with hardware components.
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
  • Test and debug software for embedded devices and systems.
  • Assist with implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development and hardware technologies.
  • Support tracking and evaluation of internal and supplier software team performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
  • Gather information to perform embedded software project management functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (final post-start) and Special Program Access (U.S. citizenship required).
  • 1+ years of experience developing in C++.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and understanding of DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in a relevant field or 4+ years of related, relevant work experience.
  • Completion of the CodeVue coding challenge (required as part of the selection process).

Pay

Summary pay range for Entry-level (Level 1): $78,200 – $105,800. Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. Eligible external candidates may qualify for a signing bonus.

  • 100% onsite at the Hazelwood, MO location.
  • 1st shift.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. U.S. citizenship is required to meet export control compliance and obtain security clearance.
