Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug embedded software and firmware for medical devices and regulated systems.
- Develop and maintain software for MCUs and MPUs in real-time embedded systems.
- Develop applications running in RTOS environments.
- Work with FPGA-based architectures for signal processing, hardware acceleration, and control logic.
- Work with VHDL/Verilog-based FPGA systems as needed.
- Develop and tune closed-loop control systems.
- Work with temperature control, sensor feedback, and PID control algorithms.
- Support software verification and validation (V&V) activities.
- Follow IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle requirements.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Firmware, and Quality Assurance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in embedded software and firmware development.
- Experience developing software for microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs).
- Experience with real-time embedded systems.
- Experience developing applications in RTOS environments.
- Experience with FPGA-based architectures is preferred.
- Exposure to VHDL or Verilog is a plus.
- Experience with closed-loop control systems.
- Experience with temperature control and sensor feedback systems.
- Experience with PID control algorithms.
- Experience supporting software verification and validation activities.
- Knowledge of IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle standards.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
