Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary

Missiles & Fire Control is seeking a qualified Software Engineer to work in the Grand Prairie, TX office. This position involves developing embedded real-time software on Client-3 products.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements.
• Applies appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications such as laboratory simulations, systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.

Requirements

• Active SECRET security clearance.
• Knowledge of Ada.
• Experience developing for Linux (CentOS) and Real-Time Operating Systems (VxWorks) targets.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and building/maintaining a software factory.

Qualifications

• Required: Active SECRET security clearance.
• Desired: C++, Software factory, GitLab, Docker, VxWorks, Linux, CentOS.

Monday thru Thursday 4/10 in-plant assignment.
