About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, driven, and collaborative Software Engineer to join a talented team that conducts research, design, and development of software running on Linux or Android OS to power our latest products.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of software solutions.
- Take ownership of features from concept to deployment.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering implementation and guidelines.
- Support diagnosis, resolve issues, and fix bugs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete and synchronize the software implementation cycle.
- Participate in a complete software development life cycle using Agile methodologies.
- Work independently, handle complex tasks, and contribute to projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, and offer technical guidance and feedback.
- Identify areas for optimization and enhancement, and contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of the team.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of C/C++ programming.
- Proven experience in software development for Linux and embedded systems.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Experience designing and working with scalable architectures.
- Proven experience in socket programming, PUB/SUB, and event-driven architecture.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of Android application development using Java/Kotlin and Android Studio/Gradle.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, languages, and technologies.
- Working knowledge of basic hardware components, block diagrams, and schematics.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/UDP/IP), VLANs, and basic switching and routing concepts.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with user-centered, iterative design and development processes.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology and practicing Scrum.
- Preferred: 5 years of proven experience in Software Engineering, including knowledge of modern C/C++ and experience in Linux and embedded systems.
May require travel up to 5% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $167,000. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
