About the role
The Embedded Linux Field Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for embedded Linux systems used in devices and IoT applications. This position requires hands-on experience with Linux kernel development, firmware integration, and hardware diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for embedded Linux systems in devices and IoT applications
- Develop and maintain firmware for embedded Linux systems
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to embedded Linux systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded Linux system development and troubleshooting
- Experience with Linux kernel development, firmware integration, and hardware diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of embedded Linux distributions and their configurations
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems
- Understanding of networking protocols and device drivers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of common Linux utilities and command-line tools
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems
