Embed Welder

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect tools, welding machines, fabrication equipment, and PPE before each use.
• Report and tag out any damaged or unsafe tools or equipment.
• Measure and mark metal parts to prepare for cutting, punching, and welding.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as ironworkers, bandsaws, chop saws, drill presses, and grinders.
• Weld components according to blueprints, ensuring proper penetration, alignment, and finish.
• Assemble embeds and verify fit, function, and quality prior to release to production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform self-inspections of completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Safely move, position, and store materials using forklifts, cranes, or other approved material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and welding/fabrication safety standards.
• Use proper PPE, welding screens, and ventilation practices when working.
• Participate in safety meetings and required training sessions.
• Assist in troubleshooting fabrication or welding issues as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment as directed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG, stick, or flux-core welding (depending on project requirements).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience operating fabrication tools and machines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Compensation

$20.00 - $28.00 Hourly – Based on Experience
