Vertex Communication Group · United States · 1 mo ago
RemoteRemoteMarketing$55–$70/hrContract

Vertex Communication Group is a B2B email marketing firm with 23 years of experience running complex, high-volume programs for trade associations, professional societies, and membership organizations. We own the full stack: strategy, production, ESP management, data operations, and reporting. We are fully remote, deliberately lean, and running AI-assisted production workflows in production as the standard way of working. A small team doing big-program work.

About the role

Your mission is to be the self-directed technical engine of our client's CRM and loyalty program. You own day-to-day campaign execution across email, SMS, and loyalty touchpoints from mockup to deployment. You turn creative briefs and Figma files into live, highly-personalized customer experiences, ensuring zero-tolerance quality control on every single send. As the structural anchor, you bridge the gap between creative direction and airtight platform implementation, giving client leads absolute confidence in every deployment. Success means delivering speed, high-fidelity layouts, and error-free execution across a complex loyalty and CRM calendar while running weekly production alignment meetings and managing your own workflow with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end campaign production in Bloomreach across email and loyalty program communications: building, testing, QAing, and deploying.
  • Manage the integrated campaign calendar for accuracy, completeness, and cross-channel alignment.
  • Create and update email mocks in Figma that reflect campaign structure, promotional strategy, and segmentation.
  • Lead the weekly production alignment meeting, finalize mocks for the team, and ensure campaign flow maximizes customer experience.
  • Manage, assign, and QA subject lines and preheaders for strong messaging, accuracy, and no duplication.
  • Handle HTML and CSS email coding as needed for customization, personalization, and layout execution.
  • Coordinate creative asset collection and handoff, ensuring timely delivery and efficient file production.
  • Translate strategy and calendar priorities into clear, accurate creative briefs for CRM and loyalty campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross-channel messaging across email, SMS, and loyalty touchpoints for coherence.
  • Execute a detailed QA process for every campaign, verifying creative, linking, tracking, segmentation, and personalization before deployment.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to streamline production.
  • Ensure compliance with email best practices and CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and GDPR requirements.

Requirements

  • Verifiable, hands-on Bloomreach experience (formerly Exponea) across build, test, QA, and deploy. This is the core requirement.
  • 3+ years of email marketing, campaign production, or CRM execution, ideally in a DTC or eCommerce environment.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS email coding (hands-on, not conceptual).
  • Experience using Figma for building and updating email mocks.
  • A demonstrable QA discipline and process for catching errors before deployment.
  • Reporting fluency: comfortable owning weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting and interpreting KPIs.
  • A self-directed working style: able to run a client's weekly meeting and manage your own workflow with minimal oversight.
  • Active, specific use of AI tools in your daily production workflow, with the ability to describe exactly how you use them.

Nice to have

  • SMS campaign execution experience; Attentive is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CDPs or other segmentation tools.
  • Loyalty or rewards program execution experience.
  • DTC or retail brand background.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the US.
  • Real impact in a small team—your work is visible from day one.

Pay

$55–$70 USD/hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

30–40 hours per week as an independent contractor (1099), starting with a 90-day evaluation period. Must overlap US Pacific business hours.

Work setup

Your own computer, reliable high-speed internet, and a dedicated quiet workspace suitable for focused work and client video calls.
