About the role

Sonoco’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a selective full‑time program for professionals beginning their career at Sonoco. Associates receive hands‑on experience, leadership development, coaching, and opportunities to connect with business leaders while working on meaningful projects that contribute to the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Gain technical training needed to excel in your role (Operational Development)
• Increase self‑awareness, emotional intelligence, and conflict management skills (Personal Development)
• Learn to communicate vision, increase engagement, manage change, and build trust through results and relationships (Leadership Development)
• Participate in project work that applies developing skills to real business challenges
• Engage with business leaders and receive coaching throughout the program

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be completed by December 2026 or May 2027
• Previous internship experience, preferably in Manufacturing or a functional area
• Proven leadership experience
• Desire to work in a Manufacturing environment
• Technical aptitude
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to be flexible with location and open to possible relocation (immediate or future)

Pay

• Annual base salary range for Business Non‑Technical Degrees: $68,000 – $71,000
• Annual base salary range for Technical/Engineering Degrees: $77,000 – $85,000
