About the role

As an Elite Armed Security Officer - Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail/mall environments. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role supports daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including armed presence as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior following Allied Universal reporting procedures.
• Work in varied environments and conditions while maintaining situational awareness and supporting law enforcement or first responders when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (required per Allied Universal driver policy).
• Level III Armed Guard card for Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screening, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Tuesday: 06:00 AM – 03:15 PM
• Thursday: 06:00 AM – 02:45 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM – 02:45 PM

Position type: Part-Time. Flexible scheduling available via the Claim a Shift platform.
