Armed Security Officer - Elite Retail Patrol

About the role

As an Elite Armed Security Officer - Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail/mall environments. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. You’ll monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, deter security incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
• Work closely with site leadership, store personnel, and/or local responders to report concerns, support incident response, and follow post orders.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.00 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 05:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sunday: 05:30 AM - 03:00 PM
