Eligibility Supervisor

About the role
The Eligibility Supervisor oversees direct reports within the Eligibility Unit, ensuring efficient review of program applications and serving as the main point of contact for applicants. The role involves managing unit operations, meeting goals, complying with regulatory requirements, and addressing issues identified by Eligibility Specialists. Key responsibilities include reviewing intake forms, determining eligibility, recommending application completions, and finalizing submissions for state approval. The position also focuses on identifying bottlenecks, coordinating resolutions, and maintaining productivity to clear assigned caseloads.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management oversight and collaborate with the team to deliver expert services.
- Offer program oversight and technical assistance on policies, principles, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage project personnel in the eligibility unit with an emphasis on production and performance.
- Develop solutions-oriented strategies to facilitate program growth and success.
- Create management tools for program targeting and performance reporting.
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidance.
- Uphold confidentiality and data integrity policies.
- Resolve program service and procedural issues.
- Monitor and maintain productivity within the unit while managing a team of Eligibility Specialists.
- Ensure high-quality service for applicants.
- Establish performance objectives and provide ongoing feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; OR
- 3+ years of experience in case management, disaster case management, application processing, individual assistance, public assistance programs, grant-funded or government programs, or related fields.
- Experience managing a team of professionals.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Schedule
This is a production-based role where success is evaluated based on clearing assigned caseloads through queues.
