Eligibility Specialist II
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Family Support Services Program Manager in determining eligibility and supporting Eligibility Specialists I. Responsibilities include:
- Training staff on county policies and procedures
- Responding to employee and client inquiries
- Managing documentation and agency mail
- Maintaining and covering work queues
- Processing applications
- Providing additional support as needed
Requirements
This is a fast-paced, dynamic position where responsibilities may shift based on program and agency needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office, strong conflict resolution skills, and exceptional organizational abilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Education And Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience, which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analyzing data, and/or performing mathematical or legal tasks
- One or more years’ experience as an Eligibility Specialist or Income Maintenance Caseworker
- One or more years’ experience with NCFast
Skills
Knowledge of Application Assignment, Energy, Childcare, and/or Work First is desired.
