Elevator Technician
West Plains LLC, part of BioUrja Group, is an agricultural commodity trading business specializing in warehouse operations, risk management, and transportation. We serve customers by providing market insight, risk management, and logistics support as federally licensed and bonded warehousemen trading whole grains, feed ingredients, freight, and other commodities across North America. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, we operate ten locations across three states, controlling nearly 20 million bushels of elevator space through ownership or lease agreements.
About the role
We are seeking an Elevator Technician based at our Wiggins, CO facility. This position performs general labor functions onsite, including support of grain activities, backfilling, bulking, and other assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide general assistance to facility operations
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing surfaces
- Complete other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
- Maintain reliable and regular attendance
- Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans, including wearing protective gear during cleanup activities
- Operate routinely used tools and equipment
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Operate load and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers, and trains
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
- Grain industry experience, equipment operation, and maintenance experience a plus
