Responsibilities
- Successfully analyze, problem-solve and collaborate with subcontractors, general contractors, and consultants alike.
- Help adhere to the agreed schedule of the projects you will be working on and report back all progress to the supervisor.
- Support site safety in accordance with standard practice/policy, ensuring your own and others' safety.
- Use the knowledge gained both on the job and outside to interpret technical documents while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform all aspects of Elevator maintenance, including troubleshooting problems with major elevator components, manually wiring and installing smaller elevator components, and ensuring all work is performed safely.
Requirements
- Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal and external communications.
- Requires a high degree of concentration and attention to detail.
- Requires physical stamina for walking/standing approximately 80%, sitting approximately 20%, and lifting up to 100 lbs. approximately 50% of the time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending, and crouching approximately 70% of the time; involves travel up to 95% of the time.
- Requires manual dexterity to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the service business or related field preferred.
- Passion for safety on work sites.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair elevators and escalators.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and mechanics.

Pay
Annual Base Pay Range: The Mechanic hourly wage rate is $65.21 since January 1, 2026. The compensation package offered is agreed based on the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule
Approximately 50% of the time; involves travel up to 95% of the time.
