Elevator Mechanic, Modernization

About the role

Right Way Elevator Maintenance, part of American Elevator Group (AEG), is seeking an experienced Modernization Mechanic for the Tampa, Florida metro area. In this role you will provide repair services on rack‑and‑pinion and some hydraulic elevators, ensuring they are in proper working order and delivering the highest level of service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair services on rack‑and‑pinion elevators.
• Perform repair services on hydraulic elevators.
• Ensure elevators are operating safely and correctly.
• Follow established safety, maintenance, and testing procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and related technical documents.
• Experience as a route mechanic.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Previous experience with rack‑and‑pinion and/or crane repair (helpful).
• Certified Elevator Technician (CET) certification is strongly preferred.
