About the role

AmeriCorps members will serve as Teacher-Mentor Assistants supporting classroom instruction, mentoring, and after-school programming to help youth build academic, social, and career readiness skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tutoring, family engagement activities, community service projects, college and career exploration, and experiential learning opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with students and families, help implement Elevate’s accredited curriculum, and serve as role models who support student growth and leadership development.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, participate in required training and professional development, and complete national service days while working toward the completion of their 1,700-hour service term.

Requirements

Education award upon successful completion of service, Living Allowance, Childcare assistance if eligible, Health Coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma/GED
• Age: Minimum 21 years old
