Elementary Title I Reading Teachers (part-time)

New Philadelphia City Schools is seeking multiple part-time Reading Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

Successful applicants will be awarded a one-year contract to provide small-group reading intervention to students at one of our elementary buildings.

Schedule

Part-time positions, 5.75 hours each day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• K-12 reading endorsement, or
• Master’s degree with a major in reading or literacy, or
• Passing score on the Praxis 5205 (formerly Praxis 5203) test of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction, or
• Applicable license (PK-3, 4-9, or K-12 intervention specialist) issued on or after July 1, 2017.
