Elementary Teacher Assistant-Special Education (ECSE)

About the role

The Elementary Teacher Assistant-Special Education (ECSE) will support a special education teacher in providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students with daily living skills and behavior management
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans
• Provide assistance with classroom activities and materials
• Monitor student progress and report on their academic and social development
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Assistant
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in using assistive technology

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
