Elementary Teacher Assistant- ECSE

About the role

The Teacher Assistant will support the ECSE program at Wilshire Elementary, providing additional hands-on assistance to teachers in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
• Support teachers in implementing ECSE curriculum and activities.
• Provide individualized attention to students to enhance their learning experiences.
• Collaborate with other ECSE staff members to ensure effective communication and support.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) certification.
• Knowledge of ECSE curriculum and teaching methods.
