Elementary Teacher - 1st Grade
BASIS Phoenix North is seeking a 1st Grade Elementary Teacher to join our team immediately.
About the Role
As a BASIS Ed Elementary Learning Expert Teacher (LET), you will use your expertise to address the differentiated needs of your students. You will collaborate with Subject Expert Teachers (SETs) who handle main instruction, allowing you to focus on individual student results and needs.
In our co-teaching model, BASIS Elementary Teachers (K-3 or K-4, depending on campus) work in pairs to co-create a dynamic learning environment. LETs cultivate a joyful learning culture, celebrate hard work, and customize education to meet each student’s individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead one cohort of students through daily classroom transitions
- Collaborate with the Subject Expert Teacher (SET) for each class period
- Utilize expertise in elementary teaching methods to provide individualized or small-group instruction
- Establish and maintain classroom behavior standards to ensure a functional learning atmosphere
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Demonstrated passion for student achievement and improving individual student outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an elementary educator
- Strong communication skills
- Openness to new teaching methods
