Elementary School Special Education Teacher

Birch Agency is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Bronx, NY area. We are interested in working with educators who have a passion for making a difference in students' lives by providing differentiated instruction to help them achieve academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and childcare services as the child’s teacher
• Assist in implementing the classroom plan according to state and local licensing regulations and Birch Agency’s policy and procedures
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning through effective program planning
• Maintain professional growth through professional development opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or the School Principal

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education
• NY Department of Education Teachers Certificate: Special Education
