About the Role

A+ Tutoring is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Elementary School Tutor to provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in English Language Arts and Mathematics for students in grades K-6. Join our team of devoted educators and help nurture the brilliance within each child while fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for students in grades K-6, focusing on English Language Arts and Mathematics.
• Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with students' individual needs, interests, and curriculum requirements.
• Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Utilize engaging teaching strategies and resources to make learning fun and interactive.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement, fostering a growth mindset and self-confidence.
• Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and A+ Tutoring staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance, lesson plans, and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for teaching and working with children.
• Prior teaching experience in elementary education, preferably in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
• Teaching credential or relevant educational degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with students.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual learning styles.
• Organizational skills for effective planning and session management.
• Availability for 4-10 hours per week, primarily after school hours, with flexible summer scheduling.
