Elementary School Part Time Library Assistant
About the role
The Clark-Wilkins Elementary School is seeking a part-time employee to support their Library Media Specialist. The position involves 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the Library Media Specialist in maintaining a positive, structured environment in the library.
- Create and sustain a positive, structured environment in the library.
- Present with a positive attitude towards children and adults.
- Work well with children and adults.
- Able to multi-task; be patient, flexible, and organized.
- Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to find and utilize written and digital resources to support students and staff.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic, articulate, creative, people-oriented, and caring.
- Demonstrated commitment to, "Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners."
- Passion for the library and sparking joy for literacy with students.
- Knowledge of PC computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, well-organized, efficient, reliable, independent, and well-developed collaborative skills with students and educators.
Qualifications
- Passionate about books and libraries.
- Experience with elementary school-age children.
