Essential Functions
- Maintains the library and all materials that are checked out to students and teachers on the campus.
- Hosts elementary school classes weekly to allow students to check out library books.
- Maintains the library catalog for the assigned campus.
- Hosts book fairs each year. This includes organizing volunteers and teachers during this time.
- Aids teachers in finding books that could be used in the classrooms.
- Aids with verifying new curriculum has been received and cataloged as appropriate.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
- Participates in in-service training programs as assigned.
- Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs.
- Manages textbook check out and in each year.
- Affords fines and distributes late notices as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to positively interact with all students.

- Ability to collaborate with school staff.

Background Checks
- The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
- AZ Employees - Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
Physical And Travel Requirements / Work Environment
- Duties are performed typically in school and/or office settings throughout the division.
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
