Elementary Physical Education Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a supportive and high-expectation classroom culture
• Engage in ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion training and dialogue
• Plan and execute a coherent, research-based physical education curriculum
• Utilize assessment data to enhance instructional practices
• Build and maintain relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Participate in continuous professional development and coaching
• Support students' social-emotional well-being
• Involvement in school-wide activities and events as directed by leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 2 years of urban teaching experience preferred
• State certification preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to foster an inclusive classroom culture with high expectations
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth through collaboration and reflection

• $68,707 – $137,729 annually
