Elementary Physical Education and Health Teacher

About the role

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a PE/Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year and beyond at our Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE/Health classes to students in grades K-5
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum
• Assess student progress through formative assessments and provide feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues in professional learning communities (PLCs)
• Work with reading and math specialists to support students' academic needs
• Partner with counselors and social workers to address non-academic issues

Requirements

• Certified by the NJ DOE or certification actively pending
• CE, CEAS, Limited CE, or Standard Certificate in "PE/Health" issued by the NJDOE

Pay

Base Salary: $68,500 - $90,000 Competitive Raises Year to Year and Paid Summer Training!
