Tutor.com is Hiring

We are currently hiring High Dosage Tutors for in-person sessions with K12 students. This position is a daytime, scheduled hours role suitable for retired and former teachers, substitute teachers, or those with mathematics expertise looking for a tutoring role in a school setting.

Major Responsibilities

• Tutor small groups of students in a school setting.
• Meet with the same group of students multiple times a week at a scheduled time during the regular school day.
• Engage students using manipulatives and online tools like an interactive whiteboard.
• Utilize student assessment data to identify knowledge gaps.
• Deliver provided standards-aligned digital curriculum.
• Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators on student achievement.
• Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to improve tutoring practices and delivery.

Requirements

• Participate in training and professional development to understand and apply high dosage tutoring methods.
• Currently reside and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during the school day.
• Able to utilize and adapt teaching approaches to maintain student engagement and understanding.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
• Possess knowledge in English Language Arts (ELA).
• Earned a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited university.
• Preferred candidates have experience as an ELA Teacher or ELA Tutor in a High School, Middle School, or Elementary School.
• Available working hours may change slightly from semester to semester.

Benefits

The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary that commensurates with experience and skills. The US Pay Range is $35 - $35 USD.

The schedule may change slightly from semester to semester, but typically involves working 3 days a week during school hours.
