Elementary Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year - Star Hill Elementary School

About the Role

Star Hill Elementary School is seeking Elementary Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year to fill various full-time positions in Grades 1st through 5th. This role may be offered on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on departmental needs and timing of hire.

Qualifications

• Eligibility or possession of Elementary certification (required)
• Dual certification in Special Education (preferred)
• Successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out-of-state teaching license (required for successful candidates)

Out-of-state candidates: An educator with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants with 1–4 years of experience will also receive an Initial License. The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from other states as a means of eligibility.

Requirements

• Provide official transcripts (if applicable), an updated resume, and three letters of recommendation
• Submit a criminal background check and tuberculosis test
• Provide proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License)
• Document eligibility for employment in the U.S. and complete an I-9 form
• Complete paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry

Pay

Salary is in accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree.
