Electrophysiology Specialist, EP Lab/ Cath Lab RCIS

About the role

The Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist and Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist roles at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA are seeking candidates for multiple shifts available. The EP Specialist assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures and device implants, while the RCIS supports cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Aid physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures and device implants.
• Provide patient care, including acquisition and reduction of pertinent information.
• Train new staff members.
• Assist in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures, including diagnostic caths, interventions, CTOs, Afib Watchman device, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Mitra clips, left/right heart caths, biopsies, cardioversions, transesophageal echo, loop recorder implants, etc.
• Work in five cath labs and a hybrid OR.

Requirements

• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science.
• One-year related experience required.
• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Pay

Up to 30k sign-on bonus available. Relocation assistance is also provided.

Schedule

Full-time days with 40 hours per week, 4 ten-hour shifts per week, with some call responsibilities.
