Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Tech

About the role

Assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Operates the electrophysiology recorder
• Monitors hemodynamics using a hemodynamic monitoring computer
• Scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures
• Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients

Requirements

• One of the following certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), IBHRE, CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
• Prior applicable training/experience in invasive cardiology and/or electrophysiology
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation

License or Certification

• Must obtain advanced specialty certification within two years of hire date
