About the role
The Electronics Technician II plays a crucial role in Campus Safety's Key & Access Services division, supporting various university programs with complex electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair problems with electronic equipment and instruments such as oscilloscopes, meters, generators, counters, analog computers, and specialized instrumentation.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Direct, train, and assist other employees in related electronics work as needed.
- Recommend purchases of new equipment and instruct operators on its use and implementation.
Requirements
- Graduation from a two-year resident electronic school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of experience in electronics construction and repair work.
- Valid driver’s license.
- NICET certification (desired).
- Iowa Alarm Installers License (Iowa) (desired).
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
