ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades, this position is responsible for repair and maintenance of electronic systems at the California State Prison – Solano in Vacaville, Solano County. Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment within the correctional facility.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, health care partners, and communities.

Requirements

• Possession of Minimum Qualifications as outlined in the Class Specification for Electronics Technician (Correctional Facility).
• If meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, include unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
• Candidates with foreign degrees/transcripts must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency from a NACES-approved credential evaluation service.
• New hires must submit to a background investigation using Live Scan Fingerprinting and a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by annual testing thereafter.
• Candidates must be eligible for E-Verify confirmation of identity and employment authorization.

Pay

$5,477.00 - $7,553.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
