Responsibilities
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems
- Evaluate electromagnetic radiation
- Isolate malfunctions
- Incorporate engineering changes
- Make circuit analyses
- Calculate wave forms
- Trace relationships in signal flow
- Use complex test instruments
- Conduct quality control checks on the work performed by other BMETs (levels I-III)
- Provide training and supervision to BMET Is and IIs
Requirements
- Graduated from a DoD or civilian biomedical technical school (e.g. DoD BMET Basic Course)
- At least 5+ years of experience in healthcare and/or medical research and medical maintenance operations
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) credentialing through the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) or equivalent

- Must have advanced technical knowledge
- Understand the interrelationships of circuits
- Exercise independent judgment in performing tasks
- Provide technical guidance to lower level technicians
- May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians
